poetry corner 011 – phases like the moon

I am the malcontent
Maleficent
The arrow in your heart
Is mine
I engage you
Parade you about the sky
For all to see
Love’s entwine
A dagger at your neck
One last request
I‘ll play you out
Sure you’re laid to rest
My tongue, sharp
In spite I pity thee
I must
On one such night
There is a ring
Quite impervious to rust
